Q: How do I use this?

A: Start by installing a new 9-volt battery, preferably Duracell. Then, tune the detector according to the instructions. Practice scanning small pieces of wood in the air to get familiar with detection depths, angles, and orientation. Once you're comfortable, scan the wood in both directions, cross-hatching. If metal is detected, the detector will beep, and all five LEDs will light up.
